Taking off today on our Eastern US tour, and especially looking forward to tonight’s show in Baltimore. It will be a bit of a reunion for us, playing with The Woes, who we’ve been playing shows with for years, but it’s actually been a long time since we’ve been able to share a stage with them. Anyway, we love them and they’ve been an inspiration to us since way back at S.U.N.Y. Purchase. AND we’ll be catching up with tons of other friends from Poorchoice who are part of the Wham City collective.
Damn, I feel old, talking about old friends and reminiscing from years past…
i’ma work it out on the highway.

A new (live) Music Video + Asheville and so-called Side Projects
This video was shot at our homecoming show in December at The Bowery Ballroom. Check it out and see if you can find yourself in the crowd…
We just added a date in Asheville, NC, on February 1st. That’s Super Bowl Sunday (ugh), so we have to compete with Bruce Springsteen’s Half Time Show. If you’re like us and don’t even know who’s in the playoff’s come hang out with us at the Emerald Lounge, because we’ve been wanting to play Asheville (one of my favorite cities in the South East) for a long time, and I had to pull some teeth to get this gig.
We’re preparing to hit the road at the end of this week, for another long stint of international touring, but we’ve also been keeping busy in our (whopping) 7 week break. Bob Pycior managed to find time to tour with his other band, Skeletonbreath, who recently signed with our friends over at Earnest Jenning Record Co., who released our record, Head Home, in 2007. They’ll be releasing Skeletonbreath’s album, Louise, and a new S-breath album later this year.
Greg Jamie made a pilgrimage out west with his beautiful wife, Kristin, to work with our old friend Joey Weiss, on their recording project, Blood Warrior. Check it out, they only have one song posted now, but this trio promises to offer excellent songs with a profound delivery in the very near future.
Even I managed to stay busy in New York, working on new recordings with my side project, Adventure Violence. We only have demoes posted now, but I’m very excited to see this project finally getting off the ground. John’s posted a couple of music videos featuring plenty of plagiarized footage. I’ve even been writing some songs of my own under the moniker, ClawMan. But I don’t have any links for that because I haven’t recorded my material yet. Holler at me if you want to help with it!
So that’s a little bit of what some of us have been up to - but we’re bout ready to get back into o’death mode. I hope we’ll see you out on the road..
And finally, we are very pleased to be supporting The Legendary Shack Shakers in Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Athens, OH, Louisville, KY, Pittsburg, PA, and Hoboken, NJ
Despite our efforts to be quiet and slumber through this burly winter cold, we find ourselves escaping New York again, very soon. For the better I’m sure, as we’ve just announced dates in much warmer climates like Florida and Italy (it will be a beautiful spring!), as well as frighteningly chilly locales like Pittsburgh, Oslo, and Malmö, which we love all the more none the less ( …redundant? not really). We’ll even be playing shows with some of our weirdo heroes, Les Claypool, Saul Williams, and Secret Chiefs 3 right here in the North East - super exciting because I’ve been following all of these artists for a long time.
Speaking of artists we have the pleasure to work with - we recently recorded a song (”Brother”) by our brothers and sister, Murder By Death. And they did us the honor of recording our song, “Home.” These two songs will be released together as a split 7″ in a very limited run of.. I don’t know, 16? If you want one, please preorder because they will go fast.

The art for this release is done by two fans who submitted and won a contest for the best fan art. Side A was done by Mason Thomas of Alberta, Canada and Side B by David K. of New Haven, CT.)
And finally, as a parting shot; a video by They Shoot Music Don’t They. This was shot in Austria last summer and I like it very much.
And I hope you do too! Thanks so much and we’ll see you soon.
